Venture church in encinitas

Mission

We exist to help people FIND and FOLLOW Jesus!

Vision 2025

By 2025, we believe God is leading Venture Church in Encinitas to make Jesus real and irresistible to people in our community by:

* Mobilizing 2,500 people to “live on mission” by committing to #Lovethe760.

*Deepening our relationships with neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends so that 4,000 people are regularly engaging with our Sunday worship gatherings and 500 people go public with their faith through water baptism.

*Launching three Venture Church campuses that will help people find and follow Jesus:

  1. Digital/Online
  2. Spanish-speaking
  3. Physical location in a different North County city

*Growing a next-gen ministry that engages kids and youth in an authentic relationship with Jesus and where students are dragging their parents to church.

*Giving away a million dollars a year to community outreach and global missions endeavors by the end of 2025.

Values

These are the concepts that help shape us as a church and keep us effectively accomplishing our mission.

1. Playing it safe is risky. Nothing ventured . . . nothing gained. We are going to believe God for great things!
2. You cannot out-give God.
3. Pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on you.
4. Everything flows out of relationships.
5. No perfect people allowed.
6. Everyone is important and has an important role on the team.
7. We don’t exist for ourselves, we exist for the world.

Core Beliefs

Although Venture Church in Encinitas is modern, what we believe is tried and true.  Our methods may change, but these are the foundational beliefs we’ll always hold on to as a church.

About the Bible
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture.  Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God
We believe in one personal God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power, authority, and glory.

About Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ to be the virgin born Son of God who lived in the flesh, died for the sins of the world, was buried, rose again bodily, and ascended to the Father.

About the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who regenerates and indwells every believer in Jesus, assures us of our salvation, guides us into all truth, glorifies Jesus and convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment.  He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and empowers us for service.

About Mankind
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience.  As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way for the forgiveness of sin.  God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for their sin.  Salvation cannot be earned, it is a gift from God.

About the Church
We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head.  The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ.  The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him, obeying Him and bringing the gospel to the world.

About Eternity
We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to the earth and the establishing of His kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, and the final judgment.  We believe that our eternal destination of either heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
